Oregon-Wash. State game live on TV in Oregon

Press release

The University of Oregon has been granted a waiver for a live telecast of Saturday’s Oregon-Washington State football game in Pullman, Wash., on Comcast SportsNet Northwest, according to joint announcement by the university’s athletics department, IMG College and Comcast SportsNet.

Kickoff for the 2 p.m. game will be preceded by a 30-minute pre-game show that will air Saturday at 1:30 p.m., with the telecast to be shown in the state of Oregon and throughout the Portland metropolitan area on channels 37 and 737.

“This is the culmination of a lot of hard work on the parts of the Pacific-10 Conference office and Fox Sports Net,” according to Oregon’s Senior Associate Athletics Director Joe Giansante. “Without the help of both the Pac-10 and FSN, this likely would not have been possible.”

The live telecast will replace the previously announced 6:30 p.m. broadcast, with the telecast still to be replayed at 11 p.m.
